Welcome to the House of Flavors

A little bit background - because of a chronic stomach condition, I haven't been able to eat ice cream in ten years. TEN YEARS. Imagine my suffering.

But after years of seeing a nutritionist and trying dozens of different diets and herbal remedies, my stomach has slowly been healing, and I am once again able to eat frozen deliciousness made from milk and cream and sugar. I am ecstatic, which I'm sure any ice cream lover can understand.

When I discovered I could once again eat ice cream without getting sick, I came up with the brilliant idea that I would undertake an epic taste test of Ben & Jerry's dozens of ice cream flavors. And starting with this original taste test, this blog is where I record and review all results of my ice cream taste testing adventures. Enjoy my rapturous observations about each delicious flavor and please feel free to share your own opinions in the comments section!

Ice Cream Flavor Rating System

5 STARS - I love this amazing flavor and I am in HEAVEN. The flavor likely has an unusual or unique ingredient or combination of ingredients that you can't find in many, if any other ice cream brands/flavors. I will be keeping my freezer stocked with this flavor constantly.

4 STARS - This flavor is delicious and more than satisfies my desire for chocolate and sugar in a tasty combination, whether or not the flavor is as unique as a 5 star-rated flavor. I really, really like this flavor and I will probably be buying it nearly as much as I will buy a 5 star-rated flavor.

3 STARS - I still like this flavor quite a bit, and it definitely satisfies my craving for chocolate and sugar. But the combination of ingredients probably isn't as unique/unusual and satisfying as my higher rated flavors, so I probably won't be buying this flavor as often.

2 STARS - A tasty but unimpressive flavor. Will I even come across more than one or two Ben & Jerry's flavors that only merit 2 stars??? It seems doubtful.
